AppSense Three Tier Architecture

Based on the best, leading standards-based technologies, the DesktopNow Suite support infrastructure easily scales to hundreds of thousands of users across several site locations and desktop delivery models. At the same time, AppSense provides comprehensive, efficient app virtualization solution for COBIT 2019 training

The AppSense Three Tier Architecture has the following components :

  • The Desktop or Client Computer

AppSense agents are included in the computer of the client, and the user session is. hosted by it. Agent modules track and communicate changes made by users to their operating system and managed applications back to the personalization database. To run a windows session, client computers can be any mix of hardware or software.

  • Personalization Server

The personalization sever acts as a broker between the database of customization client and server, providing a secure channel for reading and writing customization information. One database will concurrently accommodate tens of thousands of users. Load balancing software allows multiple parallel configured customization servers to use a single database, or several databases in large business environments.

  • SQL Server Personalization Database

The SQL Personalization Sever registry stores all user customization settings per request as they relate to the customization sites and websites, groups and users, applications, and configurations of endpoints. When requested by the customization server, the database moves settings to a client computer or desktop which also synchronizes changes to the customization system.

For every company’s IT (Information Technology) team, every day brings with itself a new challenge. Although physical PCs are still required, they now run side by side as a service (DAaS), with remote desktop session hosts, virtual desktops, and desktops. And while, many applications are still installed locally, they will be disturbed digitally through apps such as Microsoft App-V and VMware ThinApp. In fact, most IT shops juggle multi-vendor solutions. Heterogeneity of the system, vendor and the software rules the day. Consumers now demand a lot more. AppSense DesktopNow lets you manage all your user-related workspace elements independently of how desktops are delivered.
